THE FINEST
BRITISH wheat
Element 29’s story begins in the fertile flatlands of East Anglia, in the far east of England. It is here, on the Norfolk and Suffolk borders, that we harvest the starch-rich, winter wheat, which will be the base for our vodka – the finest grain in all of Britain.
PRECISION ENGINEERING
Our wheat then travels north to Lancashire and the great Northern City of Manchester. It is here that our grain is mashed and malted and fermented to a strong malt liquor. This liquor is gently heated in a state-of-the-art tower still where it is repeatedly distilled a minimum of seven times until it is rectified to absolute purity.

HERITAGE & ARTISTRY OF BRITISH DISTILLING
This exceptionally pure spirit extracted from the tower is collected and sent south. At the venerable Langley distillery in the Black Country, “Angela”, our 108 year old artisan copper pot still, is charged for one final artisanal batch distillation. This final process refines our vodka still further. The head and the tails of the spirit run are rejected, leaving only the heart of the run. Angela’s antique copper draws out the very essence of the grain - developing the spirit's natural sweetness and its delicate nuances of flavour whilst scrubbing it of un-savoury sulphur compounds and other trace impurities. The vodka that drips into Angela’s spirits receiver is so sparklingly clear and clean that it needs no further filtration and refining.
